Dénes Nagy's film project, The Vacation has been selected for the 12th Jerusalem Sam Spiegel international Film Lab.
The Vacation is about a week in the life of Feci, a provincial Hungarian man in his mid-40s employed in agriculture, who goes on holiday with his wife to the French coast. He speaks no foreign languages, is leaving the country for the first time, and is incredibly shocked when it turns out at the airport in Nice that his Covid vaccination is no longer valid in France, so, he must go into quarantine in his room at the Hotel Panorama.
The tragicomedy tells the story of this modest and simple man’s inner journey of discovery in understanding his own freedom and limitations.
